Mildred “Mickey “ McKinnon was born on March 21, 1936 in Dover , Delaware to the late John Sullivan Sr. and Helen Demby Sullivan. She departed this life on February 22, 2010.
She married Wilbert E. McKinnon on February 4, 1955 and from this union they had five children.
Mildred work for Wellman Industries for 20 years of service and retired. She was educated at Booker T. Washington School and William Henry High School in Dover. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards in her leisure time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Helen D. Brown and Anna “Gin” Tribbett and her children Sharon D. McKinnon and Patricia “Trish” McKinnon.
She leaves to cherish her memory Grace L. McKinnon of Boston, MA, Valarie Foy (Maurice), and Sandra McKinnon of Fayetteville, NC; five grandchildren Monique, Mandez, Meagan, Marcus, Brittany and two great-grandchildren Ja’haun and Ja’Lyn of Fayetteville, NC. She also leaves her brothers and sisters, Eleanor Waples, Clarence Sullivan (Carrie), Grace Williams, John Sullivan Jr. (Jackie), Pauline Sells (Raymond), Barbara Durham, Larry Sullivan and Charles Sullivan (Gina) of Dover, DE; Goddaughter Sharon Gaskins of Fayetteville, NC; Special Nephew and Nieces Eric, Janice and Dorsett; Special Friends Mrs. Ettrice Crumpler, Mrs. Ruth Robinson and William Holden Jr. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
