Elsie May Kennard, beloved daughter of the late Howard and Anna Chambers Ford, was born on March 18, 1923 in Still Pond, Maryland. She departed this life and entered into eternal life on December 12, 2009 at the Washington Hospital Center located in Washington, D.C.
While living a fulfilled life, in her earlier years, she was educated through the Kent County Public School system. In her later years, she met and married Clark Edward Kennard, Sr. Elsie May was the mother of six children, Joseph Cotton (Hattie Mae), Irene Cotton, Clark Kennard, Jr. (Lolita) and Donald Kennard. In addition to her children, Mrs. Kennard is survived by three brothers- in-law Arthur Kennard (Betty), Thomas Kennard (Ernestine) and Ronald Kennard (Judith), along with two sisters-in-law Dorothy Hutchinson (William) and Delores Ford.
Elsie May was most adored by her ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. With all of her liveliness and unique character, Elsie May Kennard was highly liked by all who encountered her path. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, watching her favorite television soap operas, spending time with her family and showing acts of kindness to all. There is nothing that she would not do for a friend or family member.
She will be very much missed, but not forgotten. On this earth, she will be treasured by numerous counts of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven ... Ecclesiastes 3:1:
