Gertrude Stephenson, the daughter of the late Miles Stephenson and Pearl Vinson Stephenson was born September 15, 1930 in Murfreesboro, NC. She entered into Enternal Peace on Friday February 26, 2010 at the Renaissance Health Care, in Millsboro, Delaware.
“Gert” as she was affectionately called, worked with the McClain Janitorial Service for many years. After retiring her hobby became fishing, which she enjoyed. She also enjoyed playing cards and going to the casinos. She loved to cook and invite family and friends over.
She was preceded in death by one sister Dorothy Boone and two brothers Alfred Stephenson, Sr. and Renford Stephenson.
She is survived by one devoted son Coley Stephenson (Patricia) Stephenson of Murfreesboro, NC. Five grandchildren, Colie Jr., Terrance, Monique, Brenda, and Addrian; seven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
