Obituary for William Shelton

William Shelton, son of Ruth Ann Shelton and Carey Walker, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, May 28, 1968 and departed this life at the age of 48 on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware at 4:30 P.M.

He received his education at Woodbridge High School in Bridgeville, Delaware.

William's work history included employment as a construction worker, as well as multiple side jobs.

William was a member of First Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church where he was an usher, Deacon-in-Training, and a member of the kitchen committee.  He was willing to help wherever his talents could be used.

Those who knew William knew that he had a passion for music and dancing.  He also loved playing drums.

Preceding him in death was his grandmother, Callie Steptoe, his uncle, William Steptoe and his little cousin, Jade Showell.

William leaves behind a mother, Ruth Ann Shelton; a stepfather, Linwood Waller; two children; Minerva Vega of Wilmington, Delaware and William Shelton of Seaford, Delaware; four grandchildren and one “one-the-way”.  He also leaves behind one sister, Brenda Jackson of Seaford, Delaware and one brother, Clifton Shelton of Dover, Delaware and a host of nieces and nephews.
